Peter Lehmann's flagship Shiraz, the Stonewell, is a classic Barossan. Full bodied, it displays deeply concentrated and vibrant aromas of blackcurrants and red berries underscored by chocolate and cedar oak. Hints of mint and briar came on the way to a finish of wonderfully soft tannins. Stonewell Shiraz uses the best batches of each vintage from various growers across the Barossa Valley. The 1999 vintage has proven to be a true star, even after the much lauded 1998 vintage. A slow maturer, the 1999 is only now beginning to reach the heights it was destined to.
